It will come down to three teams in NCAA football this year, according to odds release by Oddsshark.com.

Defending national champions Ohio State is the early favorite at 4/1 to win the national championship. That’s not a surprising pick, as the Buckeyes still play in an underwhelming Big 10 conference and return an unprecedented three quarterbacks with big-time college-football experience.

As Ohio State already knows, the Buckeyes would have to go through a four-team playoff to win the title. If the odds hold up, two of the other three teams will be Alabama at 7/1 and TCU at 8/1. The Crimson Tide return only three offensive starters, but these odds are because of Alabama’s recruiting ability, dominance of the SEC and its ability to find a way into the national conversation each year.

The Horned Frogs will return a bevy of starters from the only team that could have argued for inclusion in the four-team playoff last year, especially with its drubbing of Mississippi in last year’s bowl game. TCU also will face a favorable schedule against a Big 12 that should be down compared to last season.

Outside of those three, Auburn is at 12/1, Florida State and USC are at 16/1, and Baylor is at 18/1.

One of the more surprising odds is Arkansas at 33/1 after a 7-6 overall campaign and 2-6 record in the SEC in 2014. Those odds are the 16th best odds of any team in the country.

The teams with a number to bet (not all teams are eligible) that have the longest odds to win a championship is Boston College and Central Florida at 500/1.
