This year has been a challenge when sizing up the best teams in terms of Super Bowl odds.

Only one team has separated itself so far this season, and the New England Patriots haven’t necessarily played anybody of note. So I’m not sure if we know anything about the supposed best team in the NFL.

That has helped other teams shoot up the Super Bowl charts, like the Minnesota Vikings. After tough losses to the Packers and Bears, the Vikings have been one of the best offensive teams in the NFL, averaging the third-most yards per play in the NFL. And defensively, even though the Vikings struggled in week 7 against Detroit, they’ve been better than the majority of teams in the NFL.

Here’s three teams that should offer some solid value for this year’s Super Bowl.

Baltimore Ravens +1600

The Ravens started the season at +2800, so you’re not getting as good of a value in this spot. However, it’s still solid value for a team that can do multiple things on offense and defense.

The offense is one of the best rushing teams in the NFL to go along with an emerging defense. The defense was atrocious to start the season, but has since rebounded, giving up 5 yards per play in the last three games.

That should be enough to consider the Ravens one of the top teams in the NFL. Lamar Jackson seems to be the real deal and with the Patriots not beating anybody yet, the Ravens could be considered at the level of the Patriots.

Seattle Seahawks +2000

The Seahawks still have Russell Wilson. Sure, there’s some holes in this roster, especially on the defensive side of the ball.

However, if Seattle can get out of a tough NFC West, Wilson is the X-factor.

Seattle has proven in the past to beat some of the better teams, so I’ll stick with the Seahawks as a solid dark horse team to be in this year’s Super Bowl. Right now, it’s not looking great after the week 7 loss to the Ravens, but I’ll remain by Seattle’s side.

Los Angeles Chargers +12500

If you’re looking for an ultimate long-shot, look no further than the Chargers.

There’s still enough talent on this roster to compete in the NFL. The Chargers have been a major disappointment, but we’ve seen this story before. The Chargers are generally late starters anyway, so Philip Rivers is still one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL.

The defense has the ability to be better, so keep an eye on the Chargers to get better throughout the season.
