This week doesn’t offer much in terms of value with favorites. However, there should be some opportunities to find a few teams that can offer some assistance in the SuperContest.

There’s not much of a chance to win first place in this year’s contest for me, but if I catch fire, there’s still hope to cash out. Here’s my best week 13 NFL picks featuring three favorites to watch in this week’s SuperContest.

Overall: 35-33-4 ATS

SuperContest: 28-27-5 ATS (30.5 points)

Favorites: 17-18-1 ATS

Minnesota Vikings at New England Patriots (-5)

The betting public and NFL experts are jumping all over Minnesota’s playoff chances.

The only problem is that the Vikings haven’t shown enough defensive consistency to help in the next two weeks, with back-to-back road games against New England and Seattle.

Minnesota still has some problems with its secondary, and it’s only going to get worse with Xavier Rhodes injured.

The Patriots are healthy and can move the ball consistently. Defensively, I still have some questions, but I don’t trust the Vikings on the road after such an emotional game in week 12. With the Patriots, only give up five points is solid value and offers the best chance at a favorite covering the spread. — Go Chalk with New England

Cleveland Browns at Houston Texans (-5.5)

It’s been a great run for the Browns. But it’s about to come to an end.

Cleveland looked good in week 12 on the road against Cincinnati. Now, the Browns have to endure back-to-back road trips against a team that is among the hottest in the NFL.

The Browns are struggling on the defensive side of the ball, which is something that wasn’t happening in the early part of the season. Cleveland is giving up 6.3 yards per play in the last three games, which is in stark contrast to Houston, which is allowing just 5.2 yards per play.

Houston can rush Baker Mayfield into bad decisions with a solid pass rush, so I’m banking on Mayfield crashing back to earth in this week 13 matchup. — Go Chalk with Houston

Washington Redskins at Philadelphia Eagles (-6.5)

It’s time to sell the Redskins stock.

The injuries have derailed a solid season for Washington. The offense is averaging just 4.7 yards per play in the last three games, while the defense is giving up 6.3 yards per play.

The Eagles still have a shot at the playoffs, so the motivation level should still be high enough to cover this spread. Washington won’t be able to keep up with the Eagles offense, so you should feel safe with this pick. — Go Chalk with Philadelphia
