Week 14 is all about which team you trust.

It’s been a remarkable run through the Survivor Pool this year, with only one loss through 13 weeks. What’s intriguing during that time is that I haven’t even picked likely the best team in the NFL just yet.

This may be the week to finally go with that electric team from the NFC South. Here’s the week 14 NFL Survivor Pool best bets.

Teams Used: Green Bay, Los Angeles Rams, Minnesota (loss), Jacksonville, Carolina, Houston, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, Kansas City, Los Angeles Chargers, Chicago, New England, Philadelphia

Best Bet

New Orleans Saints

I went back and forth between two teams and if you’re feeling a little looser than me in the Survivor Pool, you may want to take my Sleeper Pick.

However, with just four weeks remaining, it’s time to back the Saints.

New Orleans is on back-to-back road trips, coming off its first loss since week 1. And that earlier loss just happened to come against the team on deck in week 14 — the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Despite having to be on the road, there’s very little to point to that the Saints will overlook the Buccaneers. The week 13 loss to Dallas shouldn’t be overvalued. That was a tough spot for a Saint team that had been rolling for several weeks before that.

The offense is still among the best in the NFL, while the defense is actually giving up just 4.8 yards per play in the last three weeks, much better than Tampa Bay, which has stayed true to its bad defense throughout much of the season, allowing 6.4 yards per play this season.

Both offenses are good enough to score, but New Orleans continues to show improvement in the defense.

Sleeper Pick

Buffalo Bills

If I had to choose two teams, which is sometimes a requirement in Survivor Pools toward the end of the season, I would back the Bills.

Who would have thought Buffalo would be a viable option in the Survivor Pool?

The Bills have actually been one of the better defenses in the NFL. And while the offense is lacking, it has been much improved in recent weeks, going for 6.2 yards per play in the last three weeks.

The Jets are basically non-existent in the NFL at this point, especially after blowing a huge lead against Tennessee in week 13. The defense is a shell of its former self, so the Bills offer some hope.

Be Careful

Denver Broncos

Last week, I told people to be careful with Seattle against San Francisco.

I was a little off with that. So why not try again?

San Francisco isn’t good, but Denver should cause some hesitation. The Broncos are the midst of back-to-back road games and won’t bring a stellar offense on the road with them.

The running game is solid, but I’m not sure I trust the passing attack on a consistent basis.

Denver should win this game, but I wouldn’t risk my Survivor Pool life with them.
