In three starts since being called up from Minor League Baseball, Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Matt Wisler has factored in each decision.

With two starts coming up this next week, he’s the best two-start bet off the waiver wire for fantasy baseball owners.

Wisler is 2-1 in those starts and has shown the ability to respond after a disappointing outing. He showed some inconsistency from his first and second career starts, going four innings and allowing nine hits and four earned runs in his second game.

During his first start, he went eight innings and allowed one earned run to the New York Mets.

After a rough second start, Wisler came back against the Washington Nationals with six strikeouts, allowing one hit during 5 1/3 innings. He did walk five batters, but he didn’t allow an earned run.

Now, Wisler will turn his attention to the Milwaukee Brewers and Colorado Rockies. The Brewers and the Rockies are two of the worst teams in Major League Baseball so far this year, and offensively, at least for Milwaukee, this year has been far below the league average.

The Brewers are ranked 21st in team batting average at .246 and runs scored at 311. Milwaukee batters don’t get on base enough to score runs with a .295 on-base percentage, which ranks 27th in MLB.

The Rockies, especially at home, have been effective at the plate this year, despite the 34-45 overall record. At home, the Rockies rank third in runs at 212 and on-base percentage at .349, while they’re first in batting average at .297.

The match-up sets up well for Wisler earlier in the week against the Brewers, but isn’t great against the Rockies. However, this will be the first time either team will face him, which usually benefits the pitcher.
