The New York Mets are still winning the hearts of fans and gamblers alike with its early-season performance.

The Mets are 13-4 and in first place in the National League East. To begin the season, according to Oddsshark.com, the Mets were 33/1 odds to win the World Series, the same as the New York Yankees.

Less than a month into the season, the Mets are now 14/1 to win the World Series, 7/1 to win the NL pennant, and 2/1 to win the NL East. At the beginning of the season, the Mets were 6/1 to win the NL East.

That’s the biggest move of the season so far in the National League, in reference to moving up for better odds.

Sure, the Milwaukee Brewers, Minnesota Twins and Texas Rangers have disappointed this season. The Brewers have gone from 50/1 odds to 100/1 odds to win the World Series. The Twins went from 100/1 to 200/1 and the Rangers fell from 50/1 to 200/1.

But no team has seen the drop like the Philadelphia Phiillies. The Phillies started the season as a long shot at 150/1. Now, they’re off the radar.

According to Oddsshark.com, the Phillies are now at 600/1 to win the World Series. Maybe the World Series may not be in their cards, but if betting on them to win the pennant, it would a 300/1 return. To win the NL East, they’re 200/1.

At season’s beginning, the Phillies were 100/1 to win the NL East, and 150/1 to win the pennant.

Linemakers likely can’t be blamed since Philly is 6-11, and most importantly, in a division with the Washington Nationals, Atlanta Braves and the Mets.
