Getting out of the American League will go through either Detroit or Kansas City, according to oddsmakers.

Oddsshark.com has the Tigers and Royals listed as 9/2 odds to win the AL pennant. Both teams also are 10/1 odds to win the World Series. In late April, the Royals and Tigers were at 12/1 and 17/2 odds respectively to win the World Series.

The Tigers are no longer the favorite to win the AL Central alone. The Royals and Tigers are 11/10 odds to win the Central. In the last month, the Royals have moved from 2/1 to 11/10, while the Tigers have dropped to 11/10 from 10/11.

The AL Central also is home to the team making the biggest move up the odds chart. The Minnesota Twins were 200/1 odds to win the World Series on April 25. Today, the Twins are 80/1 odds to win the World Series.

The AL East is still balanced, with the New York Yankees leading the way at 7/5 odds to win the NL East. That number is improved from April 25 when New York was 11/2 odds. Boston is at 29/10 odds, while Toronto is 17/4 odds, Tampa Bay is 5/1 and Baltimore is 8/1.

The AL West is still a three-team race with Seattle, Los Angeles and Houston battling it for the top spot. The Mariners have 3/2 odds to win the AL West, while Houston is 37/20 and the Angels are 5/2 odds.

The Rangers are still at 200/1 to win the World Series, unchanged during the last month. Texas also is 50/1 odds to win the AL West.
