The Minnesota Vikings dominated the majority of Sunday’s game against Kansas City and squeaked by to give us a victory.

It was a good day for many Survivor picks, other than Seattle. We warned people about the issues persisting about Seattle, and Carolina has played the Seahawks tough in the past.

There are several good opportunities for Survivor picks this week, so hopefully you’ve saved a few teams for this week.

Best Bet

Indianapolis Colts

This is why the NFL is a week-to-week league.

New Orleans ended Atlanta’s undefeated season Thursday, while the Colts lost at home against New England.

So why would the Colts be our best bet?

Because the NFL is all about matchups and the Saints won’t be near as good this week as they did the previous one against the Falcons.

The last time we saw New Orleans on the road, it gave up 39 points to Philadelphia en route to a blowout loss. This season, the Saints are 2-1 at home and are plus-nine in the margin of victory.

Away from home, New Orleans is 0-3 and minus-39.

The Colts haven’t been much better this season, but with a healthy Andrew Luck, the offense looked better Sunday during the loss to the Patriots. Luck didn’t commit a turnover, and he’s been known to be a slow starter in his career.

The Saints are 10th worst against the pass and Luck should have his way with New Orleans’ defense. As long as you haven’t taken the Colts already and actually won, then this would be the best opportunity to move on and advance.

Sleeper pick

Washington Redskins

We were down on the Redskins entering this past week, but that had far more to do with the Redskins being exhausted after two close games and entering a back-to-back road date with the New York Jets.

And the Redskins battled early, but couldn’t keep up with the Jets.

This is a different week, and despite a couple of bad games on the road (against the Jets and Giants), we’ve been impressed with the Redskins this season.

Washington is only 2-4 overall this season, but its defense ranks eighth in total yards and it has competed well.

The losses are against two teams with one loss (Atlanta and the New York Jets), and one road game against the Giants on a Thursday night, which is always more difficult for the road team, and the opening week against the Miami Dolphins.

We’re not taking much stock in the blowout loss to the Jets. That was an impossible scenario and now with a home game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, we like the Redskins to battle back with a win.

Tampa Bay is coming off a bye week, but that’s not enough to give the edge to Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers will look to run the ball, but we believe Washington will right the ship with its rush defense, forcing Jameis Winston to pass.

When he’s relied upon heavily, he makes too many mistakes. Washington will capitalize on those mistakes and should win this one.

Be careful

New York Giants

We know New York will be a decent favorite at home against the Dallas Cowboys, so it may be enticing to take the Giants.

But haven’t we seen this from the Giants before as a touchdown or so favorite?

Just go back two weeks ago when New York was bet heavily against San Francisco at home. The Giants won the game, but it was done on a late touchdown pass from Eli Manning.

The Cowboys will come into the game off a bye week, while the Giants will play on a short week after playing Philadelphia on Monday night.

This is a rivalry game, so it’s difficult to predict what will happen.

We like the Giants more as an underdog than a favorite. The Cowboys still have a little talent and we wouldn’t be surprised if this was more competitive than many experts would expect.

Don’t be too sold on the Giants this week and be careful taking them in a Survivor pool.
