Things are becoming clearer in the NFL, making it imperative to work the waiver wire during the next few weeks. Players who we’ve been waiting on are becoming more of a fantasy football option and are currently sitting on the waiver wire.

Also, don’t forget about those backup running backs who may see more action in the coming weeks. Injuries are inevitable, so if you’re able to pick up a backup running back now and put him on the bench, you can possibly land a major coup in the future.

Here’s the best adds for the week 4 fantasy football waiver wire.

Christine Michael, RB, Seattle Seahawks

Seattle’s backfield situation has been a muddy picture for the first few weeks of the season. Sunday’s effort by Michael should clear things up for the future.

Thomas Rawls was the main running back for the first two weeks. However, his ineffectiveness has put him on the radar for reduced playing time and last week’s injury sidelined him for this week. That opened the door for Michael, who turned in one of the best performances by a running back in fantasy this week.

Michael ran for 106 yards and two touchdowns during Seattle’s blowout victory against San Francisco. His performance Sunday is the best of any Seattle running back this season and should be enough for him to get the starting nod.

Seattle runs the ball more than the average team, so having the No. 1 Seattle running back is a major addition to any fantasy football roster. He’s owned in 60 percent of fantasy leagues, according to NFL.com, but he shouldn’t sit on your league’s fantasy football waiver wire any longer.

Kyle Rudolph, TE, Minnesota Vikings

Rudolph is finally looking like the fantasy tight end we expected last year. He was supposed to be a reliable TE1, but he was a lost cause during most weeks last year.

This year, though, he looks like one of the best options in fantasy on a weekly basis.

He scored another touchdown Sunday against Carolina, giving him two touchdowns on the season. He’s showing that he’s the main target once the Vikings drive deep into the opponent’s territory. He’s attracted 26 targets this season, with 10 coming Sunday against Carolina.

The Vikings will likely opt to pass more with Adrian Peterson out with injury. It’s also likely the Vikings will back away from the running game inside the red zone, and will utilize Rudolph as a primary weapon.

He’s owned in less than 50 percent of fantasy leagues. That will change this week.

Jamison Crowder, WR, Washington Redskins

He’s barely owned in fantasy football, but has two touchdowns in the last two weeks and keeps getting the ball thrown to him in a pass-heavy offense.

Crowder turned a screen pass into a 55-yard-touchdown reception against the New York Giants on Sunday. He was targeted consistently again this week, generating seven targets against a solid New York secondary. He has 25 targets in three games, netting 16 receptions.

He’s not going away in Washington’s offense. Kirk Cousins trusts Crowder and is utilizing him on a consistent basis. The defense doesn’t look good enough to keep Washington in low-scoring games, meaning there will be plenty of passing in the coming weeks.

Crowder is showing he can attract plenty of targets and score touchdowns. He’s worth a flier for your bench and could become more of an asset for your fantasy team as the season progresses.
