With New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s suspension held up by the National Football League, how does that affect oddsmakers’ opinion of the Patriots’ regular season win totals?

Not much, at least for now.

Oddsmakers appear to be holding off on making drastic changes to the Patriots betting lines with Brady widely expected to take the suspension to federal court, where the four-game suspension could be nullified.

Oddsshark only lists New England’s Super Bowl chances as taking a slight downward motion, going from the Patriots being +900 to win the Super Bowl to +1000. Oddsshark still has New England with an over/under of 10.5 and the clear favorite to win the AFC East division at -150.

The line for the Patriots opening game also has risen from when the suspension was first announced. The opening line had the Patriots as a 6.5-point favorite against the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, that line went down to 1 when the four-game suspension was announced.

The line has now moved to the Patriots as being 3-point favorites.
