Three games will continue the NBA playoffs Thursday. Here are the three best bets as the playoffs continue. Odds are provided by Oddsshark.com.

Cleveland at Boston (+4)

Part of me wants to take Boston. The Celtics are giving four points at home and the first two games have been good games at times. The key phrase is at times.

The Cavs will win the series. There’s no debating that. The Celtics just don’t have the firepower to win four games. But they do have the ability to win a game in this series…maybe.

This game will be close for the majority of the contest and look for the Celtics to lead for most of it. The crowd will be energized and game threes are always a good time for the underdog to pick up a victory.

But I don’t trust the Celtics defense against Lebron James in the fourth quarter. The Cavs are sweeping this series, and big shots by James down the stretch will give the Cavs a victory by more than four points.  Pick – Cleveland

Chicago at Milwaukee (+3)

Games threes are always a time for the underdog to pick up a win. This game is primed for the Bucks to steal a game.

One book has Milwaukee as a 2.5 point underdog, according to Oddsshark.com. And the opening line had Chicago as a 3.5 point favorite.

See above for reasons why game threes are good times for the underdog to pick up a win. The Bucks won’t win this series, but an energized crowd will assist the Bucks in winning this one. Pick – Milwaukee

Golden State at New Orleans (+5)

It’s not likely that New Orleans will win a game during these playoffs. Anthony Davis’ time will come at some point, but he just doesn’t have enough around him to make noise in the playoffs yet.

That doesn’t mean the Pelicans won’t keep this close. Once again, the crowd will be in this one (this is the first playoff game in New Orleans since 2011), and game three is an opportunity to catch Golden State sleeping a bit. Look for the Pelicans to jump out to an early lead, led by Davis, but Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson will keep the Warriors close enough that by the end, the Warriors will go up 3-0.

New Orleans can beat Golden State, much like it did in the regular season, and it can keep it close enough that five points should be enough for New Orleans. Pick – New Orleans
