The second round of the NBA playoffs will continue with two games Thursday.

The NBA playoffs record so far is 15-27-1. Odds are provided by Oddsshark.com.

Cleveland at Chicago (-2)

Oddsmakers and the betting public disagree on this game.

The opening line had the Cavs as a 1-point favorite. Now, the line has swung in the direction for the Bulls. It’s hard to disagree with either side.

The Cavs are injured. LeBron James and Kyrie Irving are nursing injuries, and the other part of their big three, Kevin Love, is on the bench with an injury.

The Bulls also are feeling the brunt of the injury bug with Pau Gasol on the bench with an injury. Gasol said he will play game six, but at what strength?

Chicago needs Gasol to compete. This series is over without Gasol, no matter what happens in game six. The Bulls will force a game seven in another tight contest, but I’m not banking on the Bulls to win the series. Pick – Chicago

Houston at LA Clippers (-8)

Now, the series is officially over.

I was wrong by a game when I took the Clippers to close out the series in five games. Nobody showed up to play defense in game five, giving the Rockets the win.

Does anyone think the Rockets have enough toughness on the defensive end to stop the Clippers in LA? I don’t think anyone can say that with a straight face.

Houston stole a win at home with its backs against the wall in game five. I’ll give them credit for that. But this series was over after the Clippers dismantled the Rockets in game four. This won’t be close and the Clippers will head to the Western Conference Finals. Pick – LA Clippers
