With the amount of NBA teams decreasing for the season, one team keeps climbing the charts of owning the best odds to win the championship.
Cleveland is hurt. Atlanta is reeling. And Houston just doesn’t have “it.” Combine that together and Golden State is the overwhelming favorite to win the NBA title.
Less than a week ago, as the Rockets and LA Clippers were battling in a game seven, Oddsshark.com had the Warriors listed as 10/11 odds to win the NBA title. With all four teams set in the conference finals, oddsmakers have the Warriors as a 4/9 favorite to win the title and 1/3 to advance to the NBA finals.
The Cavs continue to have the best odds to advance out of the East. Cleveland is 5/12 to reach the title game, while owning 9/4 odds to win the championship.
Atlanta and Houston are heavy underdogs to win the title at this juncture. The Hawks have 8/1 odds to win the title, and have a better chance at advancing out of the East at 2/1 odds. The Rockets don’t have near as much respect, going off at 13/2 odds to win the West, and 10/1 odds to win the title.
