Utah showed its true colors last week against USC. The Trojans blew open the doors on the Utes and now forced the Pac-12 to look at the real possibility of being left out of the national title picture with no undefeated teams left.
There are at least a few games worth mentioning this week in the Pac-12. We’ll see if the Trojans can keep up the momentum and see if the Cardinal will ever drop off.
Here are two games we’ll keep an eye on this weekend. Last week’s betting guide for each major conference went 5-5, with a 1-1 mark in the Pac-12. Overall for the season, the betting guides have been 11-5 in the Pac-12 and 40-38 overall in the power-five conferences.

USC (-4.5) at California
We were impressed with the Trojans last week. They showed they can handle good teams because the Trojans have elite talent.
And if that elite talent starts playing in a cohesive manner, Pac-12 teams should watch out. That includes California.
The Golden Bears were a good story to begin the season, but as we begin to get into the heart of the conference season, we’re seeing teams catch up to the Golden Bears. USC just has too much talent and if we’re giving away less than a touchdown, then we’re going with the Trojans. — Go chalk with USC

Stanford (-12.5) at Washington State
We’ve been all over the Cougars this season. Bettors and the experts faded Washington State when it lost to Portland State in week 1. But we weren’t deterred. We knew that Washington State would come back and it did.
But we’re not buying them in this game. The Cardinal have been on fire since losing in week 1 against Northwestern and we’re trusting Stanford’s ability to keep the ball away from the Cougars.
Stanford’s defense will frustrate Washington State and the good news ends this week for the Cougars. Stanford will win by two touchdowns or more. — Go chalk with Stanford
