It’s week 2 of the Daily Fantasy Football season. I’ve already looked at the top picks, so now it’s time to fill out that roster with a few deep sleepers to help your team compete in national contests.

Here’s the top week 2 sleepers for Daily Fantasy Football.

Marcus Mariota, QB, Tennessee Titans

If you’ve read anything on my blog this week, you would know how much I love the Titans this week against Detroit.

According to DraftKings, I’m getting Mariota at $6,000, putting him as the 20th most-expensive option at quarterback in week 2. Sign me up.

Mariota was not great in the opener, but still managed 16 fantasy points, going for two passing touchdowns and 290 total yards. Minnesota’s defense is light years ahead of Detroit’s, so I can’t believe I get Mariota at this level in the quarterback position.

The Lions couldn’t do anything against Indianapolis last week. Mariota won’t be pressured and will have an opportunity to run and pass this week against Detroit.

Justin Forsett, RB, Baltimore Ravens

Once again, I’m surprised I can get a player at this cheap of a price on DraftKings. Forsett is the 30th-most expensive running back on DraftKings against Cleveland.

I know we all should be worried about a timeshare in Baltimore. But seriously, this is Cleveland.

And Forsett was the better running back in week 1 and that should carry over to week 2. Cleveland’s defense couldn’t stop a Philadelphia team with a rookie quarterback running the show in week 1.

Forsett will benefit from the Ravens getting up early and then focusing on the run. At $4,400, Forsett is a major steal at DraftKings.

Ted Ginn Jr., WR, Carolina Panthers

Receiver is far more difficult to find sleepers for regular and daily fantasy leagues. It’s generally a gamble for sleeper receivers. Who has the hot hand and will that specific quarterback pay attention to that receiver on that specific day?

There are only a handful of receivers who receive major targets each week, and sleepers just aren’t those commodities.

But what I like about Ginn Jr., is that I get a receiver who has big-play capabilities facing a team that will likely get blown out. Generally in those situations, second and third wide receivers have the ability to make plays.

Ginn Jr. isn’t going to attract a lot of balls. But this matchup is right in the wheelhouse for the Panthers, and I can see Ginn Jr. burning the secondary for some big plays. He’s going off with a good price at $3,900 at DraftKings, making him a cheap option with big upside.

He’s a boom or bust receiver, but call it a hunch. I’m anticipating a good day from Ginn Jr.

Kyle Rudolph, TE, Minnesota Vikings

In a week where tight ends didn’t shine, Rudolph was better than expected.

He finished with 65 yards receiving in week 1 against Tennessee with eight targets. That’s a great number for Rudolph and much of that has to be credited to Minnesota focusing on safe throws for its quarterbacks.

Regardless of who starts in week 2 between Shaun Hill and Sam Bradford, the tight end position will be prominent. Those are safe throws for the offense and quarterbacks utilize them as security blankets when they’re not confident in other throws.

If Bradford starts, how comfortable will he be in an offense that he’s been learning for only a few weeks? That means he will use Rudolph as a safety valve, something exciting for anyone using DraftKings, since he’s listed as the 17th-most expensive tight end on the board.
