Ryan Fitzpatrick won’t be residing on many waiver wires for week 3.

With a touchdown-to-interception ratio at 8-to-1, Fitzpatrick has been one of the biggeest fantasy football surprises in the first two weeks of the season.

Will this hold up? I doubt it, but he deserves some credit for what he did against a solid Philadelphia secondary. Pittsburgh looked like one of the worst pass defenses in the league in week 2, so Fitzpatrick will be heavily owned heading into week 3.

Here’s some more players to target on the week 3 fantasy football waiver wire.

Giovani Bernard is still available on the week 3 fantasy football waiver wire. Flickr

Giovani Bernard, RB, Cincinnati Bengals

Joe Mixon is the best running back in the backfield for the Bengals. However, with reports suggesting Mixon will be out of the lineup for two weeks or more, Bernard is the clear choice to start earning more touches.

Bernard is mostly a pass-catching running back, but he should be called upon to get close to 10 carries with Mixon out of the lineup.

Cincinnati has looked good on the ground so far, so that offensive line can open up some holes for Bernard. With Mixon out of the lineup, Bernard is a must-add in all fantasy formats.

John Brown, WR, Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens offense is at it again. Even with two capable running backs, the Ravens can’t shed that pass-happy, small gain approach.

That’s hindering Alex Collins, but helping wide receivers like Brown. Brown has been targeted 14 times already this season, and has produced double-digit fantasy totals in each of the first two weeks.

He adds a deep threat to the Ravens offense, which is something necessary to compliment the dink-and-dunk approach from Joe Flacco. Brown should continue to see more targets, so he adds some value as a WR3.

Keelan Cole, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

Jacksonville’s offense isn’t a great fantasy football tool, but Cole is a natural playmaker.

Did you see that catch from Sunday?

He has been highly productive dating back to late last season and it showed again in week 2 against New England. He’s the No. 1 receiver for a reason and he showed flashes of top-tier fantasy ability in week 2.

Jacksonville’s offense may create some ups and downs, but Cole should garner enough attention to have tremendous upside as a WR3.

Chris Ivory, RB, Buffalo Bills

There’s not much to like in Buffalo’s offense. And if you were like me and drafted LeSean McCoy, it’s been a nightmare start to the season.

McCoy has largely been ineffective and Ivory is the lone running back with a rushing touchdown on the Bills offense.

And now McCoy is dealing with an injury, making it almost certain Ivory will at some point this season start earning starter’s reps.

He’s barely owned, so he’s at least worth a roster stash at this juncture.
