Golden State at Cleveland (+1)

The last game proved why people shouldn’t believe “experts.”

I fell in the trap, just like everyone else did, thinking that the Cavliers would fold up their tent and be satisfied with the season that was. Then LeBron James proved why he’s still the best player in the NBA.

With the series tied at one apiece, the “experts,” are running in the opposite direction again, now believing that the Cavs will win the series. This is in stark contrast with what they believed before and after game one. It’s a good thing I learned my lesson on listening to the experts.

Golden State is the better team. That became even more pronounced when Kyrie Irving got injured in game one.

But Cleveland has the best player in the world. Something has to give, and I’m still taking the team over the player.

LeBron can’t keep this up for the entire series. And as the series continues, depth and fatigue will play a major role in the outcome. I trust the Warriors’ depth and the betting public believes that, too.

The opening line for this contest had the Cavs as a one-point favorite. Now, a day before the game, the Warriors are a one-point, and in some other sports books, as a 1 1/2-point favorite against the Cavs. Golden State will become more efficient on offense and this game may not even be that close. – Golden State
