Out of 10 games being played by ACC teams Friday and Saturday, only half of them will actually have a betting line since half of the conference’s weekend slate feature games against FCS opponents.

That doesn’t mean this isn’t a big weekend for the ACC. Virginia, Louisville and Virginia Tech have games that could change the entire perception of the conference.

Here are two games that we’re keeping an eye on this weekend.

Louisville vs. Auburn (-11)

Auburn is a trendy pick to be in the College Football Playoff. The Cardinals rarely have anything said about them.

This spread has stayed relatively similar since it opened at 10.5 points. Head coach Bobby Petrino is likely the reason this spread isn’t any bigger. Louisville graduated plenty of talent off of last year’s roster with 10 players being drafted in the NFL.

The quarterback position isn’t what it once was and it will take time for the Cardinals to gel. This is the wrong game to attempt to come together. Auburn is loaded with talent and there’s a reason why many of the experts expect this team to be standing at the end.

The Cardinals will improve throughout the season, but the Tigers are too good. Take the Tigers. – Auburn

Ohio State (-14) at Virginia Tech

Ohio State is absolutely loaded with talent. The Buckeyes were so good in their final three games last season that it’s difficult to believe that any team would compete with them this season.

The Hokies shouldn’t be bad this year. There’s some pressure on Virginia Tech to perform and it’s hard to forget Virginia Tech beat the Buckeyes last season.

The talent will be better for Virginia Tech, but if that offense hasn’t improved, it will be a long night for Hokies fans. Ohio State will run up and down the field, and we’ just aren’t confident in the Hokies offense to keep up. This game will be close at halftime, but the Buckeyes will pull away in the fourth quarter and should win by at least 17 points.
