Spencer Ware was a given last week as the best waiver wire addition to your fantasy football roster. If by some reason not everyone in your league jumped on the Ware train last week, you should probably join the rest of the country in picking up the Kansas City running back this week.

It’s still not guaranteed that Jamaal Charles will be back from injury this week, meaning Ware could be in line for a heavy load this week. Charcandrick West is far behind Ware for playing time, so you should be able to get at least another week’s production from Ware.

Here’s the rest of the best week 2 waiver wire additions.

Will Fuller, WR, Houston Texans

Houston has been dying for a second receiver. Last season, DeAndre Hopkins was a target monster thanks to the Texans having no other option beside the speedster on the outside.

Hopkins is still really good, but for the Texans to truly have a potent offense, they needed a second receiver to step up into that role. Fuller appears to be that guy.

He has big play potential, so that should help generate touchdowns. But he also showed the ability to be a guy that Brock Osweiler trusts in week 1 with double-digit targets.

That’s what has me more excited for Fuller’s potential. If he can garner at least eight looks a game, he can definitely be a WR3, pushing a WR2 for your fantasy football roster.

Tevin Coleman, RB, Atlanta Falcons

Coleman turned in a nice double-digit performance in week 1 thanks to 95 yards receiving out of the backfield. But that isn’t why he’s on my waiver wire radar for week 2.

This is a sneaky play that I anticipate to be brewing in Atlanta. Everyone knew that Devonta Freeman was way overrated heading into this year’s fantasy football campaign. All reports out of camp were that Coleman was going to get more playing time, but yet, there was Freeman, with an RB1 grade in some fantasy leagues.

In week 1, the backs pretty much split time on the field. Coleman has the better burst of speed, so I anticipate he’ll get far more looks out of the backfield as a receiver. If that’s the case, Coleman will be the better fantasy option as I believe the Falcons will be playing catch-up for much of the season.

He may not be the hot item off the waiver wire, but pick him up, just in case the backfield situation involves more of Coleman in the future and less of Freeman.

Davante Adams, WR, Green Bay Packers

I’m hesitant in picking up Adams based on what I saw last year. But there’s something about this guy that Aaron Rodgers likes.

Adams was regularly targeted last season, only to drop passes and not make plays. But there he was again on Sunday against Jacksonville, drawing seven targets from Rodgers and scoring a touchdown.

I don’t get Rodgers’ obsession with Adams, but it’s worth having on your fantasy football team. Don’t be scared off from Adams being the primary No. 3 option on the team. The Packers’ offense utilizes him enough to make him a viable option for your fantasy team based on matchups.

One thing that I believe Rodgers likes about Adams is that he has plenty of physical skill and usually draws the opposition’s least-skilled starting cornerback. The biggest issue is just catching the ball.

But if he can find his hands, there are enough targets that go his way to make him a WR3 on your roster in the future.

Jay Ajayi, RB, Miami Dolphins

He’s probably the last person you’d expect on a list like this, but follow me on this one.

The Dolphins didn’t worry about leaving Ajayi at home in week 1 against Seattle. So most of the fantasy football community is leaving Ajayi off their rosters.

That would be a mistake.

You could use the waiver wire as a band-aid, with spot running backs and hit-or-miss WR3. Or you could find players who could be long-range options. Arian Foster couldn’t do anything in week 1 against Seattle other than a 50-yard reception. Ajayi was the favorite to win the running back role in the preseason, but failed to live up to expectations.

However, after week 1, the Dolphins may be reconsidering their position on Ajayi. It appears he will be the No. 2 running back for the Dolphins this week against New England. As the year progresses, Ajayi is likely to overtake that No. 1 role, giving fantasy players a No. 1 back off the waiver wire. That’s like gold during the fantasy football season.
