If you care about who is left on the waiver wire in week 14, then you’ve made it to the playoffs, so congratulations. Now, it’s all about finding those players who can make an impact for three straight games on your fantasy team, and make sure your bench is good enough to withstand a catastrophic injury.

Here’s an early look at the week 14 NFL fantasy football waiver wire.

Peyton Barber, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

He’s the big winner on the waiver wire this week. His ownership level is at five percent at Yahoo, so he should be the first player selected this week on the waiver wire. He got the start in week 13, going for 102 yards on 23 carries, and hauling in four catches for 41 yards.

Doug Martin should be back in week 14 against Detroit, but even so, Barber has earned playing time. This situation will take some more monitoring, so starting Barber would be a major risk in week 14. However, he creates nice depth, and if he becomes the major ball carrier for the Buccaneers, he could easily be an RB2 for your team or Flex option.

Marquise Goodwin, WR, San Francisco 49ers

Since week 9, Goodwin has at least 68 yards receiving in each game and had his biggest output in week 13 during starter Jimmy Garoppolo’s debut for the 49ers.

Goodwin caught all eight of his targets for 99 yards against the Chicago Bears. The passing game looked better, despite the varied results from Garoppolo. That should help Goodwin, who has six or more targets in three of the past four games.

Someone had to step up during Pierre Garcon’s absence. Goodwin has been that player and his upcoming matchups against Houston and Tennessee are plus-matchups.

Josh McCown, QB, New York Jets

McCown should probably be owned in more leagues.

He’s owned in only 41 percent of fantasy leagues on  Yahoo. Stashing players doesn’t really offer much upside, so McCown should take up a roster spot in case something happens to your starting quarterback. He’s consistent, even against pretty good competition, and he’s resurrecting the Jets as a fantasy option.

McCown has back-to-back games with more than 300 yards passing, and he represents at least a decent streaming option for week 14 against Denver, which has faded fast as a once-dominant defense.

Don’t sleep on McCown, who ranks just outside the top-12 in overall points among quarterbacks this season.

Kerwynn Williams, RB, Arizona Cardinals

Don’t expect a fantasy-changing performer, but if Adrian Peterson sits again, Williams creates some value. He’s going to get major volume in week 14 if Peterson is out, so that should contribute to an opportunity for at least RB2 production.

During his start in week 13, he tallied 97 yards on 16 carries. His carries were on a better track until the Cardinals fell behind in a major way and went to full passing mode.

He should get a look this week on the waiver wire, so put him on your team and keep an eye on the injury report.
