The fantasy football playoffs are upon us.

In regular 12-team leagues, this week offers up the quarterfinals in fantasy football, meaning many owners are left out in the cold. While those seasons are finished, there is plenty to look forward to for those who are still battling for their fantasy football lives.

There’s not much available on the waiver wire this week again, so I had to take some chances to find the best options available.

Here’s the best week 14 waiver wire adds.

Alfred Blue, RB, Houston Texans

I was all over Lamar Miller in the preseason. I had Miller as my No. 2 running back in fantasy and proceeded to draft him in the first round.

The volume has been there, but the production hasn’t. And that volume is starting to catch up with the former Dolphins back who was rarely used.

Miller has been on the injury report consistently in recent weeks and has missed time during several games. He exited the week 13 game, but came back to shoulder plenty of the load, until giving way to Blue in the fourth quarter.

It’s a shot in the dark, but that volume may be eating away at Miller. He’s not used to this much work and he’s been a bad fantasy option in recent weeks. He may need a week off to get back into shape, giving way to Blue to man all those carries.

With Brock Osweiler as the quarterback, the running back position for the Houston Texans is a must-own.

Christine Michael, RB, Green Bay Packers

It’s another shot in the dark, but if Michael can be a decent option for the Packers, there’s no reason to dismiss him as a Flex option.

Eddie Lacy was a RB2 before being injury. If Michael is a step lower, with the possibility of breaking off long runs that Lacy was not capable of doing, he can be in the Flex discussion.

Ty Montgomery hasn’t been the answer for the Packers and with nine carries in week 13, Michael moved up ahead of James Starks on the depth chart. Montgomery is more of a change of pace player, meaning Michael should be in line for more carries.

He hasn’t been there for long and he already is being trusted with carrying the football. I’m not starting him in week 14, but he’s worth a stash based on the potential of earning more playing time.

Dennis Pitta, TE, Baltimore

If you’re looking for tight end help, Pitta is here to deliver.

I’m not going to blow his week 13 performance out of proportion, but in a time where tight ends are hard to find, Pitta may deliver an answer in the coming weeks.

He was targeted 11 times in week 13 and scored twice. It was his first touchdowns of the season, but his play this season should have generated more scores.

He’s registered six or more targets in seven games this season. Baltimore is a high-volume pass offense that utilizes its tight end. If Joe Flacco can finally find the end zone more, Pitta should have some value going forward.

He’s been decent this season without touchdowns. If week 13 carries over to the next three weeks, he could be one of the biggest pickups of the playoffs.
