Week 1 offered plenty to see in the NFL season, including the always dreaded injuries. And those injuries have the possibility of derailing fantasy football rosters.

And the injuries didn’t just affect one position. Aaron Rodgers and Marcus Mariota left games with injuries. Leonard Fournette was forced out. Greg Olsen left with an injury and didn’t return. And Doug Baldwin didn’t return from injury, either.

So, there’s definitely going to be action on the week 2 fantasy football waiver wire. Here’s the top adds on the week 2 fantasy football waiver wire.

T.J. Yeldon, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars

If Fournette has to miss any amount of time because of his hamstring injury, then Yeldon will be an RB1 for week 2. With the Jaguars likely to not rush Fournette back into action, it would make sense that Yeldon would at least get a crack at the starting spot for week 2.

And it’s not just the rushing department that should excite fantasy owners. Yeldon is a weapon in the backfield, too, as evidenced in his career.

He tallied 69 total yards in week 1 with a touchdown, and in Jacksonville’s run-first approach, it shouldn’t be surprising if Yeldon turns in another solid fantasy performance in week 2 if given the opportunity.

Phillip Lindsey, RB, Denver Broncos

This isn’t a slam dunk, but I was impressed with Denver’s offensive line in week 1 against Seattle.

This isn’t the same Seahawks defense that took the field in recent years, but it’s still good enough that Denver’s offensive line performance is noteworthy. And Lindsey did enough in week 1 to occupy plenty of attention from the Denver coaching staff.

Lindsey had 102 total yards on 17 touches and looked athletic enough to maintain playing time for the Broncos. The running back situation is fluid for Denver, with Royce Freeman and Devontae Booker receiving attention, but Lindsey should get some attention on the waiver wire this week.

Will Dissly, TE, Seattle Seahawks

Could Dissly be a flash in the pan? Definitely. But he also should get some looks this week thanks to how he looked in week 1 against Denver.

He totaled more than 100 yards receiving and hauled in a touchdown pass. In Seattle’s offense, which is looking for some weapons to step up, Dissly was a nice surprise.

Tight ends are tough to trust, so if you can find someone who can look as good as Dissly did on the field in week 1, it’s worth investing in him off the waiver wire.

Patrick Mahomes, QB, Kansas City Chiefs

With quarterback uncertainty, Mahomes deserves attention.

There was a reason why the Chiefs let Alex Smith go. They knew what they had in Mahomes and he didn’t disappoint in week 1 against a supposed staunch defense in Los Angeles.

The weapons around Mahomes are some of the best in the NFL, and with his ability to throw the ball down the field, this offense has the ability to be a consistently productive one for fantasy football owners.

Mahomes doesn’t mind trying to stretch the defense, which can generate plenty of fantasy points in an Andy Reid offense. He should get plenty of attention on the week 2 fantasy football waiver wire.
