The fantasy baseball regular season is coming to a close, so you’re likely in one of two spots.

If you’re reading this, you’re likely still in contention, so that means your matchup this week is against an owner that has given up or one that has major playoff implications.

Either way, it’s a smart move to get some two-start pitchers for the week.

Here’s my favorite two-start pitchers on the week 19 fantasy baseball waiver wire.

Reynaldo Lopez, SP, Chicago White Sox

Fantasy baseball owners should be salivating over Lopez’s two starts this week.

He gets an early week tilt against Detroit and will finish with a matchup against Kansas City. The Tigers and Royals are ranked 28th and 30th in Major League Baseball in run production, and they sport identical .239 batting averages.

It’s not only the matchups that should have people excited about Lopez this week. He’s looked pretty good in recent outings, going 14 innings over his last two starts and surrendering a total of three earned runs.

He also has 10 strikeouts in that time.

The matchups are too good to pass up for Lopez, so he offers a solid two starts this week.

Brad Keller, SP, Kansas City Royals

This is close to digging at the bottom of the barrel, but Keller does offer some upside this week.

He has decent matchups with games against Toronto and the Chicago White Sox this week, and in recent weeks, he’s shown some unique ability to strike out the opposition.

In two of his last four starts, Keller has an eight and a nine-strikeout game. That’s pretty impressive for a pitcher on the waiver wire in more than 90 percent of fantasy leagues on ESPN.com.

With good matchups and a recent track record of solid strikeout totals, take a chance with Keller.
