I had a rough day in my top picks for my Daily Fantasy Football team in week 6. Greg Olsen was the only player who finished in the top-10 in fantasy scoring, so you could say I was a little off with my predictions.

I had nowhere to go but down after my week 5 showing, so let’s hope it’s all about the odd weeks for my Daily Fantasy team…at least for this week.

Here’s the top picks for your week 7 Daily Fantasy Football team.

Quarterback

Matt Ryan vs. San Diego Chargers

I know that the Chargers have been better against the pass than most realize, but Ryan has been dynamic this season.

He’s gone for more than 20 points in three of six weeks, and been more than serviceable in the last two weeks against two of the best pass defenses in the NFL.

He owns plenty of touchdowns at 15 through six games, but his passing yardage has me most excited. He has dipped below 300 yards passing only twice this season. He’s being efficient with the ball and with a reprieve from the gauntlet of good pass defenses behind him, the offense should open up more through the air.

San Diego may be better on defense than most realize, but it still allows 279 yards through the air. The Chargers also will be able to move the ball in this one, so it should open up the passing games for both quarterbacks.

Running Back

DeMarco Murray vs. Indianapolis Colts

He’s the fourth-most expensive option among running backs on DraftKings, but he deserves your top spot for running backs in week 7.

The Colts rushing defense is really bad, as evidenced by Lamar Miller slashing through them in week 6. Murray also will get plenty of attention from the Titans coaching staff, giving him enough volume to put up fantasy points.

And volume so far this season hasn’t been a problem. Murray has more than 20 carries in the last three games, and has gone for at least 89 yards rushing in four of the previous five games.

When there’s that much volume, good things will happen against the Colts. Miller produced for the first time last week, thanks to his ever-increasing volume. Murray has been more efficient this season, and against a bottom-10 rush defense, I expect him to have a major day.

Wide Receiver

A.J. Green vs. Cleveland Browns

The Browns aren’t very good. Cincinnati doesn’t have a second wide receiver. That’s a good time to back Green.

Green also is the fourth-most expensive option at DraftKings, albeit among wide receivers. But he deserves significant attention thanks to the previously mentioned factors.

The Bengals are realizing what had me concerned in the offseason. Marvin Jones was pretty good and he allowed that offense to open up the playbook. Green is pretty much the only viable target for quarterback Andy Dalton, limiting the offense’s ability to move the chains consistently.

But the Browns are really bad. Against the pass, Cleveland is a bottom-10 defense, allowing 12.8 yards per reception, the sixth-highest total in the NFL. That’s right in Green’s wheelhouse.

Dalton will target Green relentlessly, opening up his ability to put up major fantasy points.

Tight End

Rob Gronkowski vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

He’s extremely expensive on DraftKings for a tight end, but it doesn’t diminish the fact that he’s about as reliable as any fantasy player.

And he’s reliable in a position full of question marks on a weekly basis. The position is so unreliable that Gronkowski has basically played in only two games and ranks 12th in fantasy scoring among tight ends.

He’s a sure bet and against Pittsburgh, he should dominate once again. The Steelers have been dealing with injuries all season on defense and now they’re dealing with some on the offensive side, too.

They’re a mess and the Patriots are hitting their stride. Gronk goes big in week 7.
