It will take a colossal effort for the Cleveland Cavaliers to win the 2018 NBA Finals. Oddsmakers have made that abundantly clear.

So if there’s little drama in which team will win the series, why not look at some exact wagers on when the series will conclude? And if you’re buying into the Cavaliers to sweep the Warriors, get ready for a massive payday.

And if you’re looking for action, you can bet on this NBA game at any time.

If the Cavaliers pull off the major upset and sweep the series (which is highly unlikely, especially with a 12.5-point spread already facing them in game one), then you will win money on a 200/1 wager. If you’re going with the same approach with the Warriors, it only pays 9/4.

Surprisingly, that’s the second-worst value available, with the Warriors clinching in five going off at 8/5, and a six-game Warriors series win being 9/2. The biggest long shot associated with the Warriors is a game seven win at 5/1.

For the Cavs, the worst value is a game six series clincher at 20/1, with a game-seven winner at 25/1.

A game five clincher is 75/1.

Obviously, oddsmakers are enticing the betting public to get in on the Cavaliers. It’s not surprising, since the majority of the bets are heavily favoring the Warriors, with good reason. Golden State played in a far superior league and they won in five games in the 2017 NBA Finals against a better Cleveland team.

The Warriors will win the series, but I would be more inclined to get some value with exact bets on later in the series. Last I checked, LeBron James still suits up for the Cavaliers, so it won’t be a sweep. And something tells me this will extend to a sixth game, where Golden State will close it out.

Take the better value, and get the 9/2 mark with a six-game clincher for Golden State.
