Kevin Siegrist
This is for fantasy baseball owners who need holds or are in a deep fantasy baseball league where pitchers (especially closers) are in demand.
Forget about St. Louis reliever Kevin Siegrist’s last outing against the Minnesota Twins. He blew a save against the Twins on Thursday, but that was his third save opportunity in four days. He may not be comfortable in that role as of yet, so don’t dwell on that outing.
Earlier this past week, Siegrist filled in for regular closer Trevor Rosenthal and saved two games in back-to-back nights. But Siegrist’s biggest contribution to fantasy baseball owners so far this season is through the holds category.
In the last 30 days, Siegrist ranks fifth in Major League Baseball with six holds. Four of those six holds have happened this month. Overall for the season, he has 12 holds, good enough to be ranked seventh in MLB.
Siegrist is available in most fantasy baseball leagues. If Rosenthal will continue to need more rest, Siegrist’s value will go up from here.

Kolten Wong
The month of June hasn’t been great for St. Louis second baseman Kolten Wong.
He’s owned in almost all fantasy baseball leagues, but Wong is producing in only one category in the last 30 days — runs.
Wong is ranked sixth among second baseman with 16 runs in the last 30 days. That’s the good side.
The bad side features Wong hitting .245, good enough for 15th among second baseman, and driving in eight runs, ranking him 17th. His on-base percentage during this time is ranked 13th at .310. Lately, Wong just hasn’t contributed for fantasy baseball owners at the second base position.
However, he still is holding up well for season statistics with top-10 placings in batting average, RBIs, home runs, runs and stolen bases among second baseman.
With Wong, fantasy baseball owners will have to see more out of him in the latter stages of June and the month of July in order to keep him through the stretch run.
