Less than a month away from the All-Star break and American League teams are beginning to grab hold of the top spots in odds for the World Series and division crowns.

The Kansas City Royals remain the favorites from the American League to win the World Series at 11/1 odds, according to Oddsshark. Entering the month of June, the Royals were 10/1 odds to win the World Series.

It’s no surprise that the Royals also continue to be in the top spot for winning the AL pennant at 5/1 odds, down slightly from 19 days ago, when they were 9/2 odds to win the pennant. The gap is shrinking for the Royals, with Detroit, the New York Yankees, Toronto and Houston still in contention.

The Tigers are 6/1 odds, while New York is 7/1, Houston is 17/2 and Toronto is 9/1. Entering June, the Blue Jays were only at 5/1 odds to win the AL East. Now, with a record of 37-32 and two games behind the first place Tampa Bay Rays (who are leading the East, but still only 12/1 odds to win the pennant and 67/20 odds to win the East), the Blue Jays own the second-best odds in the East at 11/4.

The Yankees, which are one game behind the Rays, are still the favorites at 21/10. The Red Sox and Baltimore continue to fall, with Boston at 15/2 odds to win the East and the Orioles at 7/2 odds.

Kansas City is still an overwhelming favorite to win the Central at 11/10. The Tigers are 9/5 odds, while the second-place Minnesota Twins are 8/1 odds. Minnesota continues to climb up the charts for the division crown, but are faltering in the pennant and World Series races. Entering June the Twins were 10/1 odds to win the Central, 20/1 odds to win the pennant and 40/1 odds to win the World Series.

The Twins are now 25/1 odds to win the pennant and 50/1 odds to win the World Series. That’s still better than earlier this season when Minnesota was 80/1 odds to win the World Series.

The AL West is still up in the air, with three teams with the best odds. The division-leading Astros are 29/20, while the second-place Texas Rangers are 13/4 odds. The Los Angeles Angels are 37/20 odds. The Mariners, which are now seven games under .500, has seen the biggest drop, going from 37/20 to win the West to 5/1.

Almost a month ago, the Rangers were 50/1 odds to win the West. Entering June, the Rangers were still only 14/1 odds to win the division. Even a little more than a month ago, the Rangers were 200/1 odds to win the World Series. Now, they’re 22/1 odds.

The teams with the worst chance at winning the AL pennant are Oakland and the Twins, despite being in second place. The A’s are 45/1 to win the pennant and 100/1 to win the World Series, making them the biggest long shots to win anything in the American League.
