Washington and the Los Angeles Dodgers continue to lead the clubhouse with the best chances to win the World Series.

According to Oddsshark.com, the Dodgers and Nationals are 6/1 odds to win the World Series, while the Dodgers maintain a slightly better chance at winning the National League pennant at 13/4 odds, compared to the Nationals at 3/1.

With more than a months-worth of games to analyze, oddsmakers are sticking with the Nationals and Dodgers, despite two different paths. The Nationals are 12-3 in the last 15 games, allowing them to shake off a rocky start to now be in second place in the NL East at 22-17.

The Dodgers haven’t run into the rough patch that Washington endured, leading the NL West by 4.5 games already, at 24-13.

Both teams entered the season as the favorites to win the World Series and the NL pennant.

Despite cooling off, the New York Mets are still in better shape than at the beginning of the season. The Mets are 14/1 odds to win the World Series, a far cry from the 33/1 odds at the beginning of the season.

The Mets are still 2/1 to win the NL East too, the same as it was in April. However, oddsmakers aren’t giving the Mets much a chance. Washington is 1/5 odds to win the NL East, the same as the Dodgers in the NL West.

For the NL Central, the Cardinals are still the favorite. St. Louis is 10/1 odds to win the World Series and 4/11 to win the division. The Cubs are still trailing at 33/10, but the gap is closing. The Pirates are at 7/1 odds to win the NL Central.

The longest shot remains the Philadelphia Phillies at 500/1 to win the World Series. If taking the Phillies to win the NL East, bettors would expect $400 for every $1 spent with the 400/1 odds. The Milwaukee Brewers continue to fade, going from 50/1 odds to win the World Series at the beginning of the season to 150/1 odds now.

The Brewers also are 100/1 to win the NL Central.
