The Detroit Tigers continue to fall in the eyes of oddsmakers.

With the All-Star break upon Major League Baseball, the Oddsshark’s updated odds to win the American League pennant has the Tigers at 10/1 odds to win the AL pennant, a far cry from where it stood one month ago at 6/1 odds. The Tigers currently trail the American-League pennant favorite Kansas City Royals by nine games and own a 44-44 record.

The Tigers entered the break losing their last three games.

The Royals, meanwhile, continue to be the best team in the American League at 52-34. Kansas City is now 13/4 favorites to win the AL pennant, slightly up from its number at the beginning of July at 15/4.

Kansas City entered the All-Star break with an 8-2 record in its last 10 games and are six games better in the loss category than any other American League team. That record has helped the Royals as having the best odds in Major League Baseball to win the World Series at 6/1. At the beginning of July, Kansas City owned the best odds in the American League at 8/1, but trailed St. Louis and Washington.

Now, the Royals are alone at the top, with the next-best contender in the American League, the Los Angeles Angels, at 12/1 odds to win the title.

The Los Angeles Angels are starting to make its trek toward an AL West title, moving ahead of the Astros by a half-game at the All-Star break. Houston entered the break losing its six games, and are now down to 8/1 odds to win the pennant, while the Angels have leapfrogged Houston at 6/1 odds to win the pennant.

The odds to win the AL West also have switched hands, with the Angels now the leader at 10/11 odds to win the division, while the Astros are 3/2. Oakland and Seattle are 14/1, while Texas is 10/1.

The Twins, despite still being in second place in the American League Central at 49-40, have gone down once again in the odds to win the AL pennant. At the beginning of July, Minnesota was 16/1odds to win the pennant. Now, they are 18/1 odds, even after going 7-3 in their last 10 games. The Twins are tied with the Indians in odds to win the pennant. Cleveland is 6.5 games back of Minnesota.

The AL East still features a competitive group, with the New York Yankees leading the way at 17/2 odds to win the pennant. Baltimore and Boston are 12/1, while Toronto and Tampa Bay are 14/1.

The Yankees own a 3.5 game lead over the Rays. New York also is the favorite to win the division at 7/5. However, there’s not as much of a discrepancy as other divisions in the favorite to long-shot category. The Rays and Red Sox are 5/1 odds, while Baltimore is 7/2 and the Blue Jays are 4/1. All five teams are within 6.5 games of each other.

The longest-shot odds to win the pennant are now the Mariners and A’s at 28/1 odds. Since the beginning of July, they have overtaken the White Sox, which are 25/1 odds to win the pennant.

The White Sox, Mariners and A’s do share the same odds to win the World Series at 50/1.
