Fantasy baseball owners should start taking notice of Milwaukee Brewers rookie starting pitcher Taylor Jungmann.

Jungmann is scheduled to take the mound twice next week, and during his three recent starts, he’s shown more of an ability to net strikeouts. If he’s available in your fantasy baseball league, he should be a no-brainer as a two-start pitcher next week.

During his last outing against San Diego, Jungmann struck out a career-high eight batters in seven innings. He allowed two earned runs, no walks and hurled seven innings.

Jungmann has been so good during the months of July and August, he hasn’t surrendered more than two earned runs, while compiling a 4-2 record.

His strikeouts also have risen considerably, with seven or more strikeouts in four of his previous five starts.

Since the All-Star break, Jungmann is ranked 12th in Major League Baseball in strikeouts, and is boasting a 2.45 ERA.

For the coming week, Jungmann will face the Chicago Cubs and Philadelphia Phillies. While the Cubs are battling for a Wild Card spot, Chicago’s offense has largely been unimpressive since the All-Star break.

The Cubs are ranked 26th in MLB in batting average since the break at .237. And the Phillies are…well…they’re the Phillies.

Jungmann is still not owned in all fantasy baseball leagues, so if he’s available, pick him up off the waiver wire.
