The waiver wire is becoming thinner and the season is nearing the finish line. However, with some injury issues popping up and coaches looking to younger players to make an impact on bad teams, there are still some options available for fantasy football owners.

Here’s our best options off the waiver for week 11 in fantasy football.

Danny AmendolaDanny Amendola, New England, Wide Receiver

This is a no-brainer with Julian Edelman’s injury. Amendola will likely take up the main possession receiver position for the Patriots until the end of the season, so his volume is about to skyrocket.

Amendola has only registered double-digit fantasy points twice. With Edelman out last week, though, Amendola garnered 10 catches on 11 targets. Expect more of that as the season progresses.

If he’s not already on a roster, and in 14-team leagues he’s likely already on rosters, he’ll be the first pick off the waiver wire this week. So if you’re not a bottom dweller, you won’t have a chance at the Patriots wide receiver.

Brock Osweiler, Denver, Quarterback

Maybe you were trusting Peyton to turn his troubles around. That wasn’t a great strategy, but here you are, without a quarterback.

Or maybe you were banking on Andrew Luck to be the top option in fantasy football. Or possibly you put your fantasy football life in Sam Bradford’s hands. Either way, there’s a reason to be shopping for fantasy football quarterbacks.

And the jury is still out on Osweiler. But if he is a capable quarterback, he could be a boon to fantasy football owners.

The weapons are there in Denver and with a quarterback who can stretch the defense, the opposition may loosen up against the running game. We don’t know what to expect from Osweiler, but he’s worth an add until we realize he’s not the answer.

David Cobb, Tennessee, Running Back

Go ahead and stash away Cobb for possible future return on investment.

Cobb was recently activated from injury reserve and although he hasn’t seen the field yet this season, the Titans may have to use him to see what the future holds.

Tennessee running backs aren’t doing much of anything, and with Cobb having a nice preseason, the coaching staff may want to get him some valuable game action before the season concludes.

He’s not going to pay immediate dividends, based on the amount of running backs the Titans put out there each week to not do much. However, in a few weeks, he may become a player who generates several touches per game.

Jay Ajayi, Miami, Running Back

We’re not sold on Ajayi as a great fantasy option, but he’s someone to own just in case something happens to Lamar Miller.

Ajayi actually outgained Miller last week on the ground, but he was used far more sparingly than Miller. For Miller owners, they should be worried of Ajayi possibly stealing some goalline work, but we’re not concerned with Miller’s value dropping by that much.

If you have an extra spot on your roster, Ajayi would be a good filler option, because he’s shown some ability on the ground and would be able to jump into Miller’s role if injuries occurred.
