The NBA season starts today, and just in case if you aren’t watching the World Series or still fully engaged in football, there’s an opportunity to wager on what will happen in June.

After the Golden State Warriors won last season’s NBA title, it wasn’t the Warriors that topped the NBA betting line for the 2016 championship. The team that Golden State beat, the Cleveland Cavaliers, were the favorites at 3/1 odds to win the title.

Three months later with the long NBA season ahead of us, the Cavs are still in the favorite spot, and have actually moved to a slightly better number at +275.

The Warriors didn’t get enough respect after last season to even be alone as the Western Conference favorites in July. San Antonio’s offseason signing of LaMarcus Aldridge propelled the Spurs to be atop the Western Conference favorites list with the Warriors.

Now with the season upon us, the Spurs have overtaken the Warriors as Western Conference favorites at +350 to win the 2016 title. Golden State owns the third-best odds at +500.

The rest of the top-five favorites are rounded out by Western Conference teams — Oklahoma City at +800 and Los Angeles at +1000 to win the title.

Looking for value? NBA experts are intrigued by the Miami Heat, especially if they can be healthy. Miami is going off at +3300, tied with the Memphis Grizzlies.

If you’re looking to throw some money away, there are some NBA teams that own the worst odds to win the NBA championship.

Sacramento, Denver, Charlotte, Orlando and Philadelphia are going off at +25000 to win the title.
