Houston at Golden State (-10)

I know I shouldn’t pick against Houston. It hasn’t been the smartest pick during the last seven games.

The Rockets are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven games, which includes coming back from a 3-1 deficit against the Los Angeles Clippers in the Western Conference semifinals.

That number also includes losing three games in a row to Golden State, including the team’s only loss against the spread in game three of the Western Conference finals.

How long can Houston keep up this pace? The Rockets gave the Warriors all they could handle during games one and two in Golden State, but I don’t see those efforts continuing.

A team can face elimination only so much before it runs out of gas. Game five is the time when the Rockets will run out of fuel, sending the Warriors to the NBA finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers in a blowout. Pick – Golden State
