Three games will continue the NBA playoffs Monday.

Here are the three best bets as the playoffs continue. Odds are provided by Postseason record so far: 6-7.

Atlanta at Brooklyn (+4.5)

The big statement that Atlanta was supposed to make in game three didn’t happen. Will this game finally be the time the real No. 1 seed shows up?

So far, Atlanta has been horrendous against the spread in this series, going 0-3 so far. The spread is pretty low for a No. 1 seed, and the betting public has so far backed the Hawks, since the line opened up at -3.5 points in favor of the Hawks, according to

Many aren’t sold on the Hawks, since they haven’t been here before. This game will go a long way in solidifying those thoughts or easing some of the doubts.

I’m not buying the Hawks. Even if Brooklyn loses, this game will still be close. Atlanta’s not ready yet to put the finishing touches on teams in a timely fashion. Pick — Brooklyn

Milwaukee at Chicago (-8.5)

The thinking that the higher seed would make a statement Saturday against their opponents didn’t turn out so well. The Bulls should have been able to close out this series, especially considering they pretty much ended the series in game three with a double-overtime win.

But the Bucks battled, and I’ll give them credit for that. But I’m not giving them enough credit to keep this one within double digits. The Bulls finally take care of business and this one’s over early. Pick — Chicago

Memphis at Portland (-2)

Word to the wise – as a gambler, pick the team, not the situation.

I get myself into that type of trouble all the time, and game three of this series was no different. I told you I like Memphis. And when I say I like them, I mean I really like them.

So why did I pick Portland in game three? Because I thought the home crowd would make the difference. Forget about the home crowd. Memphis is the better team, and the Grizzlies’ second round opponent should attempt to get a good night’s rest soon, because before that series starts, Memphis will provide plenty of sleepless nights. Pick — Memphis
