Last week’s Survivor pool pick came in without much of a doubt with the Seattle Seahawks. The Chicago Bears offered little resistance and the Seahawks made last week a stress-free day for those who took them as the Survivor pool pick.

If you took the Seahawks, that means you got rid of one of the best teams in the NFL during the past few years. That’s OK, since we looked at the upcoming schedule and there weren’t many opportunities for guaranteed wins.

If you haven’t used the Seahawks, then this week would be another good week to take Seattle. Without the Seahawks at your disposal, we have the best bet for the Survivor pool in week 4 of the NFL season.

Best bet

San Diego Chargers

We won’t get to use San Diego very much this season, so this game provides a great opportunity.

Cleveland isn’t very good this season. The Browns have a difficult circumstance at the quarterback position, with Josh McCown currently starting, but Johnny Manziel nipping at his heels. Neither quarterback appears to be a very good option, and the Browns showed very little last week against Oakland.

The only time the Browns have been on the road this season was a 21-point setback to the New York Jets. Cleveland will travel to San Diego this time, where the Chargers will look to get back on track after consecutive road losses in the last two weeks.

San Diego looked bad last week against a good Minnesota team. The Chargers couldn’t stop the run or move the ball consistently. But that was during back-to-back road games, and that’s difficult for any NFL team.

We expect the Chargers’ offense to revert back to what it did in week 1 against the Detroit Lions, with Phillip Rivers throwing the ball all over the place. The Browns’ defense has been unable to stop anyone, so San Diego’s offense will incur little difficulty in moving the ball.

Go ahead and take the Chargers at home and get rid of a team that won’t have many opportunities to be used this season.

Sleeper pick

Buffalo Bills

There aren’t many teams playing better than the Buffalo Bills in the NFL.

The Bills went on the road last week as an underdog and pretty much had that game against Miami over by the end of the first half.

We’re not sold on the Bills as such a big favorite, by five points against the New York Giants, but we do like Buffalo as a winner.

The Giants did have a lot of time to prepare (they played last Thursday), but New York just hasn’t been able to finish this season. We expect that to happen again this week, and the Bills’ offense should do enough against the Giants to win by at least a field goal.

Be careful

Oakland Raiders

We understand Chicago is actually an underdog, but we like this situation. And just in case you’ve taken the other top teams, the Bears may actually serve as a decent option this week against Oakland.

The Raiders are the hot pick in the NFL right now, after winning consecutive games. But this game will be the second straight road game for the Raiders and we don’t like how the youth for the Raiders will respond to back-to-back road games.

Chicago hasn’t actually been that bad on defense this season, other than the week 2 loss to Arizona. The Bears even limited Aaron Rodgers to less than 200 yards passing.

This game will be more about the Raiders’ inability to handle success and compete in back-to-back road games. The Bears will put up a fight and we believe will win outright. This may be the only time this season to take the Bears, so if you’re desperate, you can get them out of the way early.
